Where have I been??

So I have to say that I have not made a video in about a week. I have been super busy, and just have not had the time.

I am super excited to do the Queen Narissa tutorial, I actually can't wait! But i just have not had the time.

By the time I get home, and have the chance to do it, I am just way too exhausted. So hopefully I will be able to knock it out, along with a couple of other videos, tomorrow.

What have I been doing, you ask? Well, my only answer for that is working! And going to the gym, of course.

Speaking of the gym, the weight loss is going very well. I have to say that I did find myself at a plateau (lol how to you spell "plateau"?) but I was able to push through it, finally. About 3 months ago, I hit a plateau and it was the most frustrating thing! But i find a way to get through it quickly.

Okay, so when I plateaued last time, I didn't know what to do. Let me tell you, it can be very unmotivating and frustrating. But this is how I was able to get through it. First thing I did was continue to work out. I kept exercise in my everyday routine, so that I wouldn't lose the motivation of going to the gym. Cus on my diet, exercise is the key, since I am not following a specific diet with a specific caloric intake. Then, I started to be fat again. lol

What do I mean fat again? haha well I just started eating junk and crap throughout the day. I didn't overeat. I just didn't really pay attention to the healthfulness of the foods I was eating. I ate all of my favorite things. (Not fast food, and seriously unhealthy things, thought) But i definitely didn't hesitate on adding extra cheese to my eggs, and things like that. I ate dessert every single night. Things like that.

I don't know what it is about eating this way when plateauing, but it works to get you through it. So anyways, I ate like this for maybe 5 days. I didn't weigh myself, either. I definitely did not want to see if I was gaining any weight. Cus again, that probably would've been unmotivating.

So after the 5 days I just started eating clean and healthy again the next morning, and BOOM! The weight was falling off again. I waited about two days after I started eating healthy again, to weigh myself. But when I did, I had already lost more weight and was below the mark where I plateaued. So at no time, during my unhealthy eating spree, did I see any weight gain on the scale. It was great.

So for those of you that are plateuing, be fat again for about a week, NOT eliminating exercise. And then start fresh on your healthy eating plan again. Let me know if it works for you. It worked for me and I got to have a serious cheat week!!

Alrighty...so hopefully I will see you guys tomorrow night as Queen Narissa!

Talk soon!

What's the next halloween tutorial??

What's next?????

so as many of you may already know, the halloween looks that I'm doing right now are all disney characters. lol mostly villains. no particular reason why villains. i guess just cus their looks and costumes were the most unique. you know, how creative is sleeping beauty, for example?? right??

okay, so here's a look at the next tutorial that i will be posting. i am really excited about this one. i just absolutely love love love the look of this one!

okay so you ready?? the next look is going to be
Queen Narissa.
who???

lol she is the evil queen from the movie enchanted. you know the one with patrick dempsey? susan sarandon played Queen Narissa. however, the Queen Narissa that i am going to be portraying is the cartoon version, and here she is..........

doesn't she look amazing? i think so.
so yea, here's your sneak peek.

get excited, cus the tutorial should be up real soon!

Ursula from Disney's "The Little Mermaid" on Broadway

Ursula
haha..so do you guys remember Ursula from The Little Mermaid. I do! Remember, she had those like little evil eel sidekicks of hers?? haha, well anyways, Ursula was definitely NOT one of my favorite disney characters. LoL she was so ugly and gross looking, and she really was the face of evil, i thought!
well, i don't know if any of you have seen The Little Mermaid on broadway, but the makeup for the character of Ursula was unbelievable. They actually made her look fun. And don't even get me started on her costume. So here are a couple of pictures of the women that played Ursula on broadway.
Ursula was actually played by quite a few different women, but my favorite is Faith Prince. But that doesn't matter, here are the pictures, obviously, just for reference so you guys can see just what Ursula's makeup looked like on broadway. Let me know what you guys think.

get a load of that costume, right? it's insane. i love it!!!

okay...so here are the pictures of the makeup i did on myself. tried to replicate this as close as possible. but you guys be the judge. let me know what you think.

sorry to all of you that i seem so lifeless in all of these pictures. i don't know what it is about taking pictures in costume looks, but i just come out horrible and well..lifeless looking. i guess cus i feel like i should try to pose like the character, but then i don't know how. lol i have no idea!!
well, if you guys like the pictures here and haven't yet seen the video tutorial on how to achieve this look, just click the link below

go watch it, and let me know what you guys think. or you can just tell me what you think of the pictures.

so give me some more requests guys!!! i am open to any and all requests, i love doing these kinds of looks.

see you in the next video, and chat with ya in the next blog post!

Maleficent for Halloween

Maleficent from Disney's Sleeping Beauty
a Halloween Makeup Look
for the full tutorial i've made on how to achieve this look...just click below

yay.... MALEFICENT!!! in case some of you may not know Maleficent is the evil queen from disney's Sleeping Beauty. she was so evil. i haven't seen that movie in years, but i do love it. i love disney everything. especially those old cartoon classics. i used to watch those things when i was little all the time!!

so here are a few pictures of the look i created, and i hope you guys enjoy them. let me know what you guys think.

so i tried to take pictures from all angles so you could really see how far back the black goes and ya-da ya-da ya-da!

this one is my favorite. i don't know, though.... still contemplating. i just keep coming back to this one.

so tell me...what do you guys think?? do you think i pulled it off? or do you think i should've done something different?? i really enjoyed this look. if i had the whole costume, i would probably be this for halloween. but i decided to be something else, so yea....lol anyways....let me know what you guys think. i wanna hear some input!

and of course, if you have any specific request, just send em' my way!

Dark Evil Fairy

okay...so i know it's taken me FOREVER to get these posts up. i have just been soo busy, it's insane. i can't believe that i'm even finding time to make, edit, and post these videos. okay so anyways let's look at some pictures of this "Dark Fairy" look i came up with for halloween.

WARNING!!!!!!! these pictures are extremely SCARY!!! not just because it's an "Evil" fairy, lol, but because my hair is flat and since i look like a member of KISS....i happen to resemble a man as well. so here goes....

ohh...this one's awesome, right?? don't i look like a man?? haha i died when i saw this picture. if i could just tell you how many pictures i took of myself, and absolutely NONE of them came out decent!!

definitely could pass for a drag queen here! oh em gee...so horrendous, i don't even know what to say!!

now in this picture i like the way the camera captured the eyelashes..i think they look really evil cartoonish..what do you think?? other than that though, i don't really care for how the camera picked up the make up or my face in general!

my hair just looks disgusting, right? anyways, i like how you can see the makeup well here. however, it's not picking up the lips near what they looked like in real life.

i just don't even know what to say about this one, except i most definitely look like a member of KISS. LoL if you wanted...this could be member of KISS for halloween, but for girls. LoL i don't know....

let me know what you guys think of this look. remember, you can play around it and tweak it so it looks perfect for you. so what are you gonna be for halloween??

E.L.F. Products

ok....so i recorded and posted an E.L.F. haul on youtube almost two weeks ago, and I am just now getting around to posting this blog.
i can't believe that it's taken me this long, but i have been sooo busy with work this month that it's not even funny.
i have so many halloween looks that i need to record, but i just have not had the time.
i have to say though, that i can't complain cus the money is great. lol  i haven't been this booked in a long long time. usually i have weddings and events and stuff like that on the weekends. but this last few weeks and the next few weeks to come, i am just busy on every weekend and most of the week days too.
plus, get this!! lol this is hilarious..... i was offered a job to be the key makeup artist on the set of a porn film. too much. the money would be good. they need a MUA mon-fri. from 9am - 6pm.
ok so anyways, i guess i should get to the E.L.F. stuff now, right?
okay, about the elf stuff.....since it's been a couple of weeks since I had the stuff, I figured i do like a little review of each product to let you know what i think of it.
as usual, if you have any questions about any of the products listed below, just let know! ;)

okay, so this is the E.L.F. angle brush. it costs only $3! very inexpensive along with the rest of their products. This is by far my favorite angle brush that i've ever used in my whole entire career, and life for that matter. this is way better than the MAC version of this brush. I like the MAC one very much, but not as much as i like this one. this is amazing. the hairs are super duper soft, and no matter what type of product you use with this brush, it just glides right on. AMAZING...and I recommend that everyone try it out!

ok. this is elf's powder brush. it costs $5. although more expensive than most of the elf collection, it's still a steal for the type and size of the brush. Now, this brush I like and don't like, for just a couple of reasons. The size of the brush itself it great. Perfect size powder brush. I hate when companies market a powder brush, and then you see it in person and it's like so small that you wonder how the hell you're suppose to apply powder all over your face with it. well, this isn't that. It's a great size. Also, it's super soft. If you're into soft brushes then this is the one for you. I mean, the bristles are unbelievably soft. I mean it feels like you're whisping feathers across your face. Okay so the cons....well really there's only one con, but it's a pretty big one. This brush does not pick up product that well. It sucks, cus it kinda defeats the whole purpose of the brush, right? but yea, i've tried many different powders with this, and i just can't get it to pick up a reasonable amount of product. but if you've tried it and had a different experience, please let me know!

so these are two different sets of lashes that i like to order. the set in the pink box up top, is just $5. $5 for two pair, not bad. and the second set, not in a box, below, is just $1. $1!!!! I know, what a steal. lol I really have nothing negative to say about any of these lashes. I've ordered tons and tons before and they apply easily (with lash duo adhesive, of course, available at your local drug store) and look phenomenal on! I don't order lashes from elf everytime i need to restock, though. why? cus elf's shipping sucks, and it's just not worth ordering a bunch from elf, when I have a wholesaler i go through to get most of the lashes i use. the wholesaler i go to has every type of lash imaginable and sells just about every brand imaginable. anyways, these lashes are super fantastic, and if I didn't order froma wholesaler, then i would probably order all my lashes from elf. but, whenever i do place an order with elf, i do tend to add a bunch of the lashes to my cart. just cus i figure, im already placing an order, why not add a bunch to my cart.

okay, the Nars imitations! lol. okay this blush runs $3. great price for this product. actually, better than great! i said in the video, that elf is nototirous for trying to copy the packaging of high end makeup brands. nothing wrong with that. they just want you to feel like you're using the high end stuff for less than 2/3 of the price. that's nice of them, right? anyways, i have nothing negative to say about this blush. the color is perfectly pigmented. the product glides on nice and smooth. packaging is great. it's definitely a must! especially for those in the market for a new blush at a reasonable price. this color here that I purchased is called "Tickled Pink".

so this Nars imitation will run you about $6. Good price, but not a product i particularly care for. this is elf's HD powder. first, i'd like to say that the product itself is very soft. if you rub it between your fingers, it almost feels like silk. but you definitely need a really good face/powder brush to apply the stuff. if you don't have one of those, then a powder puff is a must. which, it does come with a powder puff, so you can use that. but sometimes those things just pick up way to much product. $6 isn't bad, so if you're looking for an inexpensive HD powder, then you should try this. I'm not saying that the product doesn't work. It just takes specific effort to apply it. and i don't have the patience for that sort of thing. im a baby, i know! lol

New York City

Nashville

Boston

Houston

Los Angeles

Miami

so these are elf's minty lip glosses. they are $3 each. each one is named after a major city, here in the U.S. the pictures above are the ones that i purchases, however they do have a few more to choose from. I went ahead and wrote the names of each one below it's picture. what do i have to say about these? well, the colors are awesome, and the whole concept of the names is great. i think that's really cool. but most of all, like i said first, the colors!! i don't think they could've done a better job with the color picks. they are all just so soft and pretty. event he ones that look like they're gonna be like "bam" in your face type of color, it's really not, it ends up being nice and subtle. also, when they say minty, it's very true. you can definitely feel the refreshing tingle on your lips right after you apply it. it also tastes good too. it doesn't taste minty, surprisingly. it tastes very fruity. one thing i have about lip glosses, is that it can't taste like chemicals and crap. i absolutely can't stand it. how do they expect you to put something on your mouth that tastes like crap?? i don't know, i just hate when glosses taste like chemicals, cus it's a waste of money too me. I will never wear them. but these taste nice and fruity! the only bad thing i have to say about these glosses is that the stopper, (you know that plastic thing that controls how much products is on the doe foot applicator when you pull it out of the container?) well, that stopper really stops! lol it basically removes all the product fromt he doe foot applicator. if you use this product, you'll find yourself dipping into it about 10-15 times just to get a decent amount of product onto your lips. seriously. im not even joking. so what i did, and i recommend you do it too, is get some clean pliers, or scissors, or something that you can grip the little plastic stopper with, and go ahead and yank it right out of there. now, once you do this there will be nothing to control the amount of product on your applicator, so you have to be careful not pull too much out. although, it's kind of a pain, the amount of product that comes out on the applicator, after removing the stopper, it's definitely not as annoying as the stopper was to begin with. so try it and let me know what you think.

alrighty, so the final product. this is elf's lip stain and gloss duo. it's $3 and the color pictured here, and also the one i purchases is called "Birthday Suit". it's a beautiful pink color. the perfect baby doll pink. i love pink shades like this. i have to say pink was never my favorite color, i could take it or leave it. but when it comes to makeup, im pink all the way. if im never sure on a product, whether it be blush, lip product, even eyeshadows, i always just go with pink. pink looks awesome on everyone. whether your skin tone is milky white or dark chocolately brown, pink will look amazing on you! again, this is another product that i have nothing bad to say. it's really great. it's a true lip stain. when i apply it, it actually does stain my lips, and does last quite a while. not as good as my all time favorite, Tarte's lip surgeance, but it's still pretty awesome. especially for only $3. I have to say though, that i have not used the gloss end. cus i just don't like to apply gloss over lips stains. i use lips stains primarily because i like the look of a natural lip color. and lips stains do just that. they apply to your lips and set to a matte finish, making your lips appear that whatever color you just applied is your natural lip color. so i feel that if you apply gloss over that, you've just defeated the purpose of a "natual" lip stain. right?? i don't know...

okay....so that concludes my E.L.F. haul/review. here hope you guys found some useful tips. if you have never ordered or used E.L.F. products you can order them online at http://www.eyeslipsface.com/  lol hence E.L.F. or you can purchase them at all Target locations. However, although Target sells E.L.F. products, they don't have nearly the amount of stuff that E.L.F.'s website has. so if you're trying for the first time, go ahead and order fromt he website, cus you have way more to choose from. plus most of the fun products, i have only been able to find on the website. i feel like Target carries all the boring stuff. lol
but hey, if you're on a budget, like most of us, and want some good makeup that you'll actually use, i say go check out E.L.F. they are truly great.
another reason why i like E.L.F. so much, not just cus of the prices and quality of the products, but they are super animal friendly. They support PETA, and advertise on their website that DO NOT support the cruelty of animals. And neither do I. I love all of our furry friends here on earth.

okay, so if you have any questions about anything here just let me know. i'd be glad to answer any and all questions!!!

Halloween Look - Ice Princess Fairy/Snow Queen Type Of Look

haha. i really don't know what to call this look. it's basically just like a nice fairy. but it was inspired by like an ice princess/snow queen. lol so it turned into an "Ice Princess Fairy/Snow Queen".

So I just uploaded this video to youtube. And I really like. It's just the first of many fun looks like this!

So my sister was kind enough to be the model for me. Mostly because she's naturally a blonde and when I put this platinum blonde wig on, I look HORRENDOUS!!!! so i asked her to be the guinea pig for me.

so here are some pictures.... if you have any questions about the look, feel free to ask!!! If you watch the video on youtube, I state every product that I am using, prior to using it. But if you missed any of the names, just let me know, and I'll be happy to list them all for you!
